Dr. Nina Holland is a Faculty at the School of Public Health at UC Berkeley. She co-teaches a course titled Human Genome, Environment, and Public Health (PH 256) with Professor Lisa Barcellos. This course explores genetics, molecular biology, molecular and genetic epidemiology, genomics, and epigenetics in a hands-on, wet lab, and computer lab study environment. Students learn about biomarkers to define environmental exposures, next generation sequencing, epigenetics, and the future of molecular human studies for personalized medicine and public health.
